About the role

We are looking for a Mobile App Developer to help build a consumer-facing mobile application for Barakeat, a platform that allows users to reserve surprise food baskets from local food businesses to reduce food waste.

You will work closely with the backend and product owner to translate an existing web platform and API into a clean, reliable, and user-friendly mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a mobile application (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)
• Integrate the app with an existing REST API
• Implement core user flows: user authentication, browsing food businesses, viewing and reserving baskets, user profile management
• Implement in-app payment functionality with secure handling of payment states
• Ensure good performance, stability, and UX
• Handle API errors, loading states, and edge cases cleanly
• Collaborate on UI/UX improvements and technical decisions
• Prepare the app for production release (builds, basic testing)

Required skills

• Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication flows, in-app payments, and state management
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Experience debugging real-world mobile issues

Nice to have

• Experience integrating payment providers (e.g. Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay)
• Experience publishing apps to App Store / Google Play
• Familiarity with food, marketplace, or booking apps
• Experience working with small startups or early-stage products

About the role

As part of the development of Barakeat, a platform fighting food waste in Tunisia, we are looking for a creative person to design and produce visual content for our social media channels and contribute to improving our visual identity.

Key responsibilities

• Create visuals and animations for our social media
• Create and edit dynamic videos (mainly using After Effects)
• Design creative and identity-consistent graphics
• Contribute to engaging content creation and interact with our community
• Participate in improving the design of our existing website

Required skills

• Excellent command of After Effects (motion design) and Photoshop/Canva
• Creativity, strong design sense, and interest in social media
• Excellent command of French
• No degree required — we value talent and creativity above all

About the role

Barakeat is a Tunisian platform fighting food waste by enabling food businesses to sell their daily unsold items as discounted baskets. We are looking for a motivated Sales Associate to develop our partner network (restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, caterers, hotels, and food businesses). Success in this role means actively acquiring new partners, clearly communicating the value proposition, and ensuring smooth onboarding of businesses onto the platform. This role is essential to Barakeat's growth and our social and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and contact potentially interested food businesses
• Clearly present the Barakeat platform and its benefits
• Support partners through the registration process
• Maintain regular follow-ups to nurture the relationship
• Contribute to improving the sales pitch
• Participate in the local expansion strategy

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to persuade
• Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative
• Interest in social impact projects
• Experience in sales or business development is a plus
